The beauty of RHA fillers
True to its name, Hyaluronic Acid-based dermal fillers are “resilient” due to their unique formulation. Unlike “conventional” HA fillers, such as Juvéderm® and Restylane®, RHA products require fewer chemical modifications. Since they are processed less than their traditional, earlier-generation counterparts, RHA fillers are thought to be less likely to induce an inflammatory response from the body. Minimal alterations, in turn, retain a more natural structure. Accordingly, RHA results in an end product that is closer to the lubricating and moisturizing HA produced by our bodies naturally and found in our skin, joints, and eyes.
As a less altered product, RHA is appropriate for patients concerned about adverse reactions. Not only is this filler a low-risk alternative to other fillers, but it renders natural-looking results and superior stability or “resilience.” In fact, these fillers can last for up to 15 months (versus other HA-based fillers, which sustain results for around six to 12 months). Individual results vary.
