Microlaserpeel Procedure Stockton

Chemical peels have long been used in medical and cosmetic dermatology to improve skin texture, reduce discoloration, treat specific skin diseases, and achieve a healthier, more youthful appearance. We are proud to bring a newer, and in many cases better, option to Stockton and Lodi, CA. The Microlaser peel allows precision removal of surface layers of skin. It is a highly customizable treatment, which can be adjusted for pigmentation problems, keratosis, scars, wrinkles, and more. It achieves exceptional results with minimal downtime.

How Microlaser peeling is different

Traditionally, microdermabrasion and laser resurfacing have been the standard alternatives to chemical peeling. However, microdermabrasion only removes the outermost layer, 5 to 10 microns deep. It is gentle and usually involves no downtime, frequent sessions may be needed to maintain results. At the other end of the spectrum, laser skin resurfacing is more aggressive. Microlaser peels are ideal for anyone seeking considerable skin improvement with minimal downtime.

What to expect

Topical anesthetic is applied 30 to 45 minutes prior to the procedure, and we offer a Zimmer Cooler, (which you can adjust the airflow of) to ensure your comfort. A couple of days after the procedure peeling will begin, and healing should be complete within three to seven days, depending on the depth of the peel. After that, you can enjoy the benefits of beautiful, healthy, rejuvenated skin.

Microlaserpeel are appropriate for patients of all skin types, and a wide variety of skin concerns. It is an excellent treatment for:

  • Improving the texture and tightness of skin
  • Diminishing fine lines and wrinkles
  • Improve discoloration or uneven skin tone
  • Reduce acne scarring
  • Reduce the signs of aging

Questions and Answers

The MicroLaserPeel™ is a wonderful advancement in skin resurfacing. It is an epidermal peel that uses laser light to remove the upper layer of skin and stimulate the skin’s natural healing process for a more youthful appearance. Conditions that can be treated with this service include:

  • Fine lines and wrinkles
  • Keratosis
  • Scarring
  • Pigmentation concerns

The device used for treatment is the Sciton laser, which is a highly recommended and preferred method of resurfacing the skin, because it reduces side effects, risks, and down time.

Patients seeking long-lasting results and improvement in their skin are welcome to ask about this treatment. It is a common alternative to light chemical peels and microdermabrasion.
Microdermabrasion does not remove enough of the outer layer of skin, resulting in less satisfactory results that require more treatments. Instead, patients can enjoy fewer treatments with the MicroLaserPeel™ because it removes more of this outer layer during each session. It is a great option for patients who want something deeper than microdermabrasion but not as aggressive as deeper laser therapies.
We encourage patients to consider two monthly treatments at first, and then determine if additional sessions are required to achieve the desired results
Patients who undergo this treatment will enjoy a more vibrant appearance with their skin looking smoother and healthier. Conditions such as scarring, fine lines, and wrinkles are improved, and pigmentation concerns are often greatly reduced.
Dr. Bock uses a topical anesthetic that is applied to the skin prior to the procedure and may be reapplied if needed throughout the session.
The only post-treatment care needed is the use of a laser healing cream that should be applied to the skin to keep it moist while it heals naturally. It is typically used for a few days, along with a moisturizer.
Most patients will heal within five-seven days, allowing most to have the procedure done at the end of the week to return to work on Monday. Patients will notice a sensation of having sunburned skin and will note peeling, redness, and tenderness that is often well-tolerated and improved with the use of after-treatment products.
