J-Plasty Stockton, Neck Tightening Treatment
Patient Before & After Pictures
What is a J-Plasty?
The J-Plasty is a minimally invasive procedure that uses cold plasma energy under the skin to lift, tighten and rejuvenate the lower face, neck, arms and trunk. It avoids the scars and potential complications of a facelift and produces natural appearing results with little downtime.
Who is a candidate?
The J-Plasty can be performed on any age group and on any part of the body where loose or crepey skin is a problem. On the face and neck the best candidates are those with mild to moderate sagging of the lower face, jawline, jowls and neck. For those with more pronounced sagging, a MACS-lift or full facelift is recommended. The best candidates for a J-Plasty are those that want good improvement without the down time, scars, cost and complication risks of traditional surgery.
What is cold plasma?
Helium gas is excited (ionized) by radiofrequency energy and delivered through the J-Plasma handpiece. Helium is very stable and only a small percentage of the cold gas is ionized at a very low energy. This plasma is cooler than laser energy resulting in a safer procedure with less tissue damage and a quicker recovery. There is no other device available that produces anything even close to the tissue tightening and firming of the J-Plasma, and I’ve tried most and seen them all.
Before the procedure
Prior to the procedure, we recommend that you stop using any products containing aspirin or other over-the-counter pain medicines, except Tylenol. Also discontinue garlic consumption, vitamin E, ginseng, and green tea as all of these products can increase the risk of bruising.
The J-Plasty Procedure
The J-Plasty is performed in the office under local anesthesia. The face J-Plasty begins with 3 tiny openings under the chin and behind each ear. Invisible, long lasting absorbable sutures are placed under the skin to produce a natural long-lasting lift of the neck and lower and mid face. Then the J-Plasma applicator is inserted under the skin and cold plasma energy instantly tightens and rejuvenates the skin. The improvement is visible immediately and continues to progress as healing occurs.
It is normal for your skin to feel a bit tight and sore after the procedure. Usually Tylenol can control the mild discomfort. You will wear a facial compression garment for 72 hours. Mild swelling and bruising can last one to two weeks but most people can return to their normal activities three to five days after the procedure.
