What is Botox®?

The medication is derived from a highly purified form of a natural protein complex used for over 20 years to treat various disorders related to muscular spasms in adults, children, and newborns. These medical applications directly led to the creation of this product’s cosmetic form.
What is Dysport™?
The Food and Drug Administration has permitted Dysport™ to be sold in the US. It contains the same ingredient that works as Botox® but is manufactured by a different firm. It has been used for medical purposes all over Europe since 1990. Apart from the little differences in composition and “carrier proteins,” Botox® and Dysport™ have different units. Based on research and experiences in Europe and Canada, there are currently no differences in the frequency of the two medications or the types of side effects.
