You don’t want wrinkles, but you don’t want to look frozen. A Botox treatment clinic helps patients achieve the smooth, natural look they desire. Botox and Dysport treatments reduce the signs of aging without changing the look or movement of the face. Dr. Gerald Bock offers anti-aging treatments to patients near Stockton, Lodi, and Elk Grove, CA.
Making facial expressions is part of everyday communication. However, the repeated contraction of facial muscles can lead to the formation of lines and wrinkles. Dr. Bock uses Botox and Dysport to reduce the appearance of these lines in adult men and women. The following areas may be treated:
- Crow’s feet
- Lines between the eyebrows
- Horizontal lines along the forehead
- Neck lines
- Small lines around the lips
- And more…
What to expect
During an appointment at a Botox treatment clinic, Dr. Bock may ask about your medical history, your experience with neuromodulators, and your expectations. Squinting, smiling, and frowning help show the exact location and depth of your lines. If you have ever had a Dysport or Botox treatment, let him know so he can adjust your treatment accordingly. Dosages and treatments of Botox and Dysport differ. Try not to compare your current treatment to past treatments with neuromodulators.
Botox and Dysport treatments are performed in the office by Dr. Bock. Using a very small, sterile needle, small amounts are injected into the necessary areas. The injections are easily tolerated. Although side effects are usually mild, patients may experience redness or possible bruising at the injection site. Downtime is not necessary following treatments, but you may be told to avoid touching the injection site for the first hour.
The effects of neuromodulators are not noticed immediately. In several days to a week, you will notice changes in your lines and wrinkles. Full effects may last three to six months. Your skin will be smoother and more youthful, but not frozen.
