Sciton Thermascan Non-Ablative Skin Tightening

The Sciton Thermascan is a 1319-nanometer laser that improves wrinkles, acne, and acne scarring without injuring the skin surface. The skin surface is protected by a sapphire cooling plate, while the laser, which fires through the sapphire plate, briefly heats the upper dermal skin. This causes an inflammatory response in the skin, followed by a wound healing response, resulting in regeneration of the upper portions of the dermis. This improves wrinkles and acne scars, and also improves active acne. This is a slow and gradual process, and a series of treatments are necessary.
