Long-lasting subdermal filler

California Skin and Laser Center is pleased to be able to add Artefill to the selection of fillers which we offer to our patients. Artefill is the longest lasting of the fillers currently approved in the United States. It is composed of small, uniform microspheres that are suspended in collagen. After injection, the collagen is gradually absorbed and the microspheres stimulate the body to produce collagen. It is this collagen, made by your own body, that produces the long lasting results.

Like all other fillers, Artefill was tested for approval in the nasolabial folds. When some of these initial patients were contacted ten years after treatment, 90% of them were still satisfied or very satisfied with their results.

Because Artefill contains collagen, a skin test is required a month before the product can be injected. Since the results are very long lasting, Artefill is not indicated for someone who is having filler injected for the first time. Rather, it is for someone who is experienced with fillers but wishes to avoid having to come in at intervals to have their filler replenished.
